Hi, my name is Skye! I’m an artist based in the USA who loves drawing cute girls (and eating potato salad 🍴uwu). I run a small shop called Skyebeeb or Skyesburrow where I mostly create and sell fanart from shows I personally love. If there’s a fandom you’d like to see me draw, feel free to let me know, who knows I might draw it :p.

What programs do you use to draw?
I mainly work across three programs: Procreate for sketches, Paint Tool SAI 2 for lineart and coloring, and Clip Studio Paint for special effects like sparkles, text, borders, and frames.
Why do you post speedpaints?
I share speedpaints as a way to show my drawing process and stay actually active for my art shop and art in general. I’ve built up a 2-3 year backlog of sketches, concepts, product ideas, and works in progress that I thought would be somewhat interested to post as content ( very least the sketches for fanart). It also motivates me to finish old projects instead of letting them sit in the wip dead pile. On top of that, I’ve been holding onto a few product designs I haven’t released yet mostly because i've been to unmotivated to take product photos or create cute thumbnail pictures etc.
Why do you only have sketch speed paints for some art pieces?
Speedpaints are still pretty new to me, so I’ve only recently started recording my artwork for lineart/coloring. I’ve been a Paint Tool SAI user for most of my digital art life, and since SAI doesn’t have a built in recording feature like Procreate theres no recording of the coloring / lineart process. Procreate and Clip studio still do not feel as comfortable to do lineart/coloring vs sai which is why I still try to do as much as possible in SAI.
Where do you get your stickers / merch made?
These days I mostly outsource production, though I occasionally make stickers and art prints in house when needed. Most of my merchandise comes from Vograce, with some items produced by Juno Creatives. I’m currently searching for a higher quality manufacturer to help cover the gaps I’ve noticed with Vograce. While they handle certain products well, they struggle consistently with others.
What Brushes do you use
I pretty much stick to the default brushes in SAI Paint with mostly vectors for lineart. I did tweak the airbrush / watercolor brush a little to get smoother blending.
For Procreate, I use Yukomeow0222’s “Creamy Pencil” brush (it’s a $1 brush on Ko-fi) for sketching. I've customised my brush a lot through out the years for easier control and rainbow coloring.
How do you sketch?
These days, I sketch mostly in Procreate since the pencil brushes feel much more natural to use.
When working on full bodies, I tend to start from the feet and move upward. Getting through the part I like the least first makes it easier for me to stick with the drawing, and I’m more likely to finish the whole figure instead of giving up halfway or cutting it down to just a waist up or bust sketch.
Usually for Chest / Waist shots i'll work my way down instead, Either starting with the head or chest area.
About me
Hi I'm Skye, I'm an artist and a pretty bad one since im not consistent lmao.
You're gonna find a lot of cute girls here because im shet at drawing men :^)
For a long time my commissions were mostly just twitch emotes which I did for a few years, then moved to doing YCH emotes/commissions for maybe a year or 2 before I got to burned out zzz. Now im back to posting fanart of shows I love and reduced commissions.
